CORRECTED: Infineon Violated Voltage Regulator Patents, Jury Says

Law360, New York (May 25, 2011, 4:48 PM ET) -- A California federal jury decided Tuesday that Infineon Technologies AG infringed Volterra Semiconductor Corp.'s patents for a voltage regulator after a judge threw out invalidity claims over another patent.

In Volterra's suit against Infineon and its subsidiaries, the jury decided that the remaining claims in the voltage regulator patent were valid and not obvious. Before the jury verdict, U.S. District Court Judge Joseph C. Spero Monday nixed claims of invalidity remaining on Volterra's patent for a flip-chip switching regulator.
