Smelt Ruling Will Delay ESA Enforcement, US Tells 9th Circ.

Law360, New York (April 30, 2012, 7:48 PM ET) -- The U.S. government on Friday urged the Ninth Circuit to overturn a ruling forcing the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to reconsider a plan to protect California's delta smelt population, arguing that the ruling would needlessly delay administration of the Endangered Species Act.
