California Mulls "Win-Win" Incentives For Utilities

Law360, New York (September 05, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- The California Public Utilities Commission will consider a proposal this month aimed at boosting the state's energy efficiency by paying private utilities when they achieve energy saving goals, in a “win-win” plan that could award the companies as much as $323 million and save ratepayers up to $2.4 billion.
