Law360, New York (January 21, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- Intellectual property attorneys are closely watching a California lawsuit that could clarify the extent to which internet search results can be linked to queries for trademarked terms.
Internet search engine Google filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of California on Nov. 24 last year to seek a declaratory judgment that its policy regarding the sale of keyword-triggered advertising does not constitute trademark infringement.
