Tyson Workers Seek Class Status In Don, Doff Suit

Law360, New York (July 31, 2009, 4:32 PM ET) -- The plaintiffs in a lawsuit accusing Tyson Foods Inc. of not paying its employees for all the time they spend working have asked a judge to certify the case as a class action, noting that other district courts have certified similar cases against the company.

In a motion filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, the plaintiffs asked a judge to certify a class of all current and former employees of Tyson's Columbus Junction, Iowa, meat processing plant.
