Law360, New York (November 19, 2010, 1:29 PM ET) -- A federal judge has approved a sealed settlement that ends a Fair Labor Standards Act collective action filed by a group of Michigan Bell Telephone Co. employees against the AT&T Corp. subsidiary.
The settlement, approved Tuesday by Judge Nancy G. Edmunds of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, terminates an action over AT&T's alleged failure to pay overtime to current and former so-called outside plant engineers because the company misclassified them as exempt from overtime requirements.
