Law360, New York (January 05, 2011, 7:47 PM ET) -- A federal judge has approved a $3.2 million settlement of a putative class action by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that accused Supervalu Inc. of discriminating against its disabled workers.
Judge Ronald Guzman signed off on a consent decree on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, putting an end to the EEOC's allegations that the grocery chain terminated disabled workers who took medical leave.
