FedEx Faces New Class Action

Law360, New York (May 08, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- FedEx Ground Package System Inc. has been hit with a proposed class action lawsuit on behalf of drivers who claim FedEx evaded its obligations as an employer and denied them benefits by improperly classifying them as independent contractors, as opposed to employees.

The complaint, which was filed in federal court in Arizona on Monday, names one current and two former FedEx employees as plaintiffs.
