Law360, Washington (February 21, 2012, 5:24 PM ET) -- Panda Express Inc. was hit with a putative class action in California court Thursday claiming the fast-casual restaurant chain doesn't provide seating for its cashiers and workers while they're on duty in violation of the state's labor code.
Lead plaintiff Fue Yang alleges in the complaint that she was not allowed to sit while working as a cashier and counter server at a Fresno, Calif., Panda Express. Yang sued the company under California Labor Code and Wage Order 7-2001, which covers businesses in the “mercantile industry”...
