Suit Over 'Real Housewives' Star's Margarita Ads Pared

Law360, New York (May 02, 2012, 4:15 PM ET) -- A Florida federal judge on Wednesday threw out part of a putative class action accusing "Real Housewives of New York City" star Bethenny Frankel’s liquor company of falsely marketing its margaritas as all natural, but will accept an amended complaint with more specific allegations.

Plaintiff Regina Greene alleged Skinny Girl Cocktails LLC advertised its signature margarita — a 100-calorie, ready-to-drink product — as containing all natural ingredients even though the drinks contained the preservative sodium benzoate.
