Law360, New York (July 12, 2012, 10:13 PM ET) -- A Texas resident has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to revive a putative class action that claims a judge’s policy requiring certain litigants to use LexisNexis to electronically file court documents is unconstitutional and amounts to racketeering.
Karen McPeters claims, among other things, that by preventing certain litigants from filing paper pleadings, Judge Frederick E. Edwards violated the equal protection and due process clauses of the U.S. Constitution.
