Law360, New York (July 10, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- A New Yorker and a Pennsylvanian have become the latest in a string of plaintiffs to file suits against some of the world’s major airlines, accusing them of illegally boosting passenger ticket prices through fuel surcharges.
In a complaint filed Thursday with the U.S. District Court in Brooklyn, Christopher H. Finegan of Long Island alleged that British Airways, American Airlines, United Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Airways had engaged in an “international conspiracy to fix, raise, maintain and/or stabilize surcharges for fuel in airline passenger transport.”...
