Law360, New York (November 10, 2010, 5:49 PM ET) -- Embattled mining company owner Hugh Caperton has sued Massey Energy Co. in Virginia state court over a long-running coal contract dispute, following a West Virginia high court decision to reverse a $50 million verdict for Caperton in a similar suit.
Caperton and his companies, Harman Development Corp., Harman Mining Corp. and Sovereign Coal Sales Inc., filed the suit on Tuesday in the Buchanan Circuit Court seeking damages in excess of $45 million.
