Law360, New York (October 24, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A high court in London on Wednesday clarified that inventors on a patent need to prove that they contributed to the invented concept, clearing the way for Yeda Research & Development Co. Ltd. to be named as the inventor of a patent covering the cancer drug Erbitux.
The House of Lords handed down a unanimous decision in the dispute over who invented the subject matter of a key patent covering the use of Israeli pharmaceutical company ImClone Systems Inc.’s Erbitux.
