Warcraft Creator Wins $6M Over Software 'Bot'

Law360, New York (October 01, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Blizzard Entertainment Inc., creator of the popular online role-playing game World of Warcraft, has won $6 million in damages in a copyright battle stemming from a software ‘bot’ created by MDY Industries LLC. The bot allows users to continue playing the time-consuming game while away from their computers.
