Amcor Settles Cadbury's Packaging Cartel Claims

Law360, New York (July 22, 2009, 5:57 PM ET) -- Amcor Ltd. has reportedly settled a $120 million lawsuit brought by U.K. confectionary and soda maker Cadbury Schweppes PLC, which accused the Australian packaging giant of joining forces with a rival to fix prices on cardboard boxes, bottles and cans.

Amcor said the terms of the deal would not have a material impact on its bottom line, but details of the settlement remained confidential, according to a Reuters report Wednesday.
