Law360, New York (January 06, 2010, 6:15 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Justice reportedly has put together a team of litigators ready to fight the proposed $2.5 billion merger of Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. and concert promoter Live Nation Inc.
The Justice Department's Antitrust Division has spent months preparing to haul Ticketmaster, a giant in the primary ticket seller market, and Live Nation, the world's largest concert producer, into court if the agency decides to block the deal, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing unnamed antitrust sources.
