Law360, New York (January 10, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Still plagued by antitrust issues, agricultural giant Monsanto Co. has said it could be months before its $1.5 billion proposed acquisition of cottonseed business Delta & Pine Land Co. is completed.
On Tuesday, Monsanto revealed in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that the agreement is waiting for regulatory clearance, potentially jeopardizing the parties’ ability to meet a Feb. 14, 2007 closure deadline.
