Law360, New York (February 23, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- An Australian competition watchdog has called for the immediate deregulation of the grains export industry and an end to the monopoly held by the country’s disgraced wheat board.
The National Competition Council, set up in 1995 as a policy advisor to promote competition, said the industry and the broader Australian community would benefit from the immediate lifting of laws restricting the export of wheat.
