Law360, New York (November 09, 2010, 12:39 PM ET) -- The American Antitrust Institute is urging the Federal Trade Commission to aggressively pursue possible antitrust violations at CVS Caremark Corp., which has been accused of curbing competition since the 2007 merger between drugstore giant CVS and pharmacy benefits manager Caremark.
In a letter Tuesday to the FTC, AAI President Albert Foer said the agency should look carefully at claims that the company is using its so-called maintenance choice program to force consumers into getting their drugs from CVS stores.
