Mitsubishi Opts To Fight E.C. Rather Than Pay Up

Law360, New York (March 26, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Hit with a €118 million fine by the European Commission, Mitsubishi Electric Corp. has decided to appeal the massive penalty stemming from its alleged involvement in an electricity-transmission technology cartel.

On Monday, the Japanese company revealed that it had decided to protest the E.C. decision and would file an appeal with the European Court of First Instance before the April 19 deadline.
