Class Appeals JPMorgan's Exit From Hedge Fund Suit

Law360, New York (May 18, 2012, 3:37 PM ET) -- Natural gas futures contacts purchasers who secured a $77.1 million settlement in a New York class action accusing hedge fund Amaranth LLC and affiliates of price manipulation on Wednesday appealed JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s dismissal several years ago from the suit.

The class is turning to the Second Circuit to challenge 2008 and 2009 decisions tossing allegations that JPMCC, JPMorgan Chase Bank Inc. and JPMorgan Futures Inc. are liable for aiding and abetting Amaranth's alleged manipulation.
