Law360, New York (August 01, 2012, 5:48 PM ET) -- Consumer advocacy organization Public Knowledge told the Federal Communications Commission on Wednesday that Comcast Corp. had broken promises it made last year to gain government approval for its acquisition of NBCUniversal Inc., by using data usage limits to favor its own video content.
The group filed a formal petition that said Comcast's decision to exempt its own Xfinity online video service from a data usage cap that applies to other content providers had unfairly discriminated against the competing services.
