Pearson, Bertelsmann Mull Merger Of Penguin, Random House

Law360, New York (October 25, 2012, 6:48 PM ET) -- Britain's Pearson PLC said Thursday it was in talks with Bertelsmann SE & Co. KgaA to merge their consumer publishing divisions, Penguin and Random House, in a deal that would create one of the world's biggest book businesses — and draw attention from Europe's antitrust regulators.
