EC Points Finger At Thai Airways In Cartel Case

Law360, New York (February 14, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Thai Airways International Plc admitted on Thursday that the European Union had lodged a formal charge against the company for allegedly colluding in an air freight cartel.

The EU lodged a statement of objections against Thailand's national carrier, accusing it of acting as part of an air freight cartel that colluded to raise fuel surcharges, war risk surcharges, air freight rates and other types of charges.
