Blockbuster Hit With Overtime Suit

Law360, New York (March 20, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- An employee at a Blockbuster Inc. warehouse filed a proposed collective action Monday against the national entertainment rental company, citing violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Michael Weiss, a worker at Blockbuster’s McKinney, Texas, warehouse, filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against Blockbuster and the staffing company that hired him, Spherion Corp., claiming that the warehouse’s staff was not paid for all hours worked.
