Law360, New York (May 25, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A group of witnesses has recommended to a U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee that the workplace safety rules and inspections under the Occupational Safety and Health Act should be extended to all public workers, not just federal government employees.
The witnesses voiced their concerns to the House Education and Labor Workforce Protections Subcommittee on Thursday that public sector employees are also at risk and should be entitled to the same workplace safety standards that apply to federal employees.
