Treasury Ordered To Produce AIG TARP Document

Law360, New York (August 18, 2011, 5:18 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury must turn over portions of an internal document concerning a meeting between an agency official and American International Group Inc. executives discussing executive compensation under the Troubled Asset Relief Program, a Washington federal judge ruled Tuesday. 

However, U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell said the Treasury's decision to withhold or redact six other documents related to the meeting sought by the conservative advocacy group Judicial Watch Inc. were proper and fell under exemptions to the Freedom of Information Act.
