CVS Employees Say Sparse Staffing Prevented Meal Breaks

Law360, New York (July 10, 2012, 6:04 PM ET) -- CVS Caremark Corp. employees in California have slapped the pharmacy with a proposed class action, claiming unofficial store policies forced them to work through lunch and rest breaks.

Three assistant managers and supervisors at the pharmacy chain — Bhupinder Rai, Oscar Martinez and Aaron Cervantes — brought the complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of an estimated 1,600 similarly situated employees across the state.
