Law360, New York (October 10, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A former employee at a 7-Eleven Inc. store in Florida fired off a proposed class action Thursday, alleging the convenience-store chain denies its hourly workers overtime pay.
The complaint, lodged in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, claims plaintiff Julie Caserio regularly worked in excess of 40 hours a week but never received the time-and-a-half wages for overtime mandated by the Fair Labor Standards Act.
