Law360, New York (July 31, 2009, 2:44 PM ET) -- Davis-Lynch Inc. has asked a federal judge to hold Howrey LLP and its client, Weatherford International Inc., in civil contempt for allegedly violating a protective order in Davis-Lynch's patent infringement suit against the rival oil field equipment company.
In a motion filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Davis-Lynch accuses Howrey of allowing attorneys involved in the infringement case to prepare re-examination requests for the patents-in-suit.
