Tycoon, Gas Cos. Agree To Drop Antitrust Suits

Law360, New York (November 04, 2009, 12:56 PM ET) -- A federal court has granted joint motions to dismiss qui tam lawsuits filed by oil tycoon Jack Grynberg alleging anti-competitive practices on the part of several natural gas companies — including Exxon Co. USA, Enron Corp. and Mobil Natural Gas Inc. — in a long-running multidistrict litigation.

Separate orders of dismissal for each of seven defendant groups affirmed that all remaining claims are dismissed with prejudice as to Grynberg and the defendants, but “without prejudice to the United States of America.”
