Law360, New York (February 16, 2010, 12:13 PM ET) -- DataTern Inc. has reached a settlement with Chevron USA Inc., releasing the oil giant from an infringement suit against more than a dozen companies over a patent related to database access systems.
DataTern filed a stipulated motion to dismiss Chevron with prejudice Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and Chevron filed a similar motion Monday saying it would drop its counterclaims against the patent holder.
