Shell Sells Chilean Downstream Business For $614M

Law360, New York (April 01, 2011, 5:41 PM ET) -- Royal Dutch Shell PLC will sell most of its downstream business in Chile to Quinenco SA, one of the South American nation’s largest companies, for about $614 million, Shell said in a statement Friday.

The Anglo-Dutch energy giant has been on a selling spree for the past several years as it tries to concentrate its global downstream business in “fewer and larger markets.”
