Equipment Failings Caused Mariner Rig Fire: Report

Law360, New York (May 26, 2011, 2:54 PM ET) -- Mariner Energy Inc.'s failure to safely maintain a decades-old piece of production equipment caused a Sept. 2 fire on a company oil and natural gas rig 102 miles off the coast of Louisiana, according to a federal report released Wednesday.
