Law360, New York (May 22, 2012, 7:25 PM ET) -- Offshore regulators issued a request Tuesday to determine whether power developers were interested in building projects that would compete with a proposal to construct a transmission line between a planned coastal wind farm and the Rhode Island mainland.
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management said it needed to find out whether other developers had plans to construct transmission facilities in federal waters off the state’s coastline before it could move ahead with its review of the project.
