Law360, New York (March 11, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- ArcelorMittal South Africa Ltd. has reportedly decided to fight a legal complaint filed against it by South African energy developer EcoElectrica Ltd. after a joint-venture power plant project between the two companies fell apart.
The South Africa-based steel company, a unit of the world’s largest steelmaker, ArcelorMittal SA, said there was “no clear legal basis” for EcoElectrica’s claim for damages following the cancellation of the joint project, Dow Jones Newswires reported Tuesday.
