EPA Defends Ethanol Fuel Waivers To DC Circ.

Law360, New York (September 14, 2011, 1:23 PM ET) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency told the D.C. Circuit on Tuesday that trade groups challenging its approval of a gasoline blend with 15 percent ethanol for certain cars merely disagreed with the decision and that it was backed by studies and data.

A host of food and farm groups launched an appeal in November asking the D.C. Circuit to review the EPA's waiver of a ban on 15 percent ethanol fuel — known as E15 — for cars and light-duty trucks made in 2007 or later....
