Enviro Groups Take EPA To Court Over Pulp Mill Regs

Law360, New York (December 07, 2011, 1:34 PM ET) -- The Center for Biological Diversity, Greenpeace and another group sued the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in California on Tuesday over the agency's alleged failure to update emissions standards for kraft pulp mills for more than 25 years.

The EPA must review new source performance standards for the mills at least every eight years under the Clean Air Act, but the last review was performed in 1986, according to a complaint filed in federal court by CBD, Greenpeace and Port Townsend AirWatchers, a group based in Washington...
