New House Bill Would Replace Obama's Offshore Drilling Plan

Law360, New York (July 09, 2012, 8:50 PM ET) -- The U.S. House of Representatives Natural Resources Committee on Monday unveiled draft legislation that would replace President Barack Obama's recently unveiled offshore drilling plan and implement a new plan for lease sales in the Gulf of Mexico.

Committee Chairman Richard "Doc" Hastings, R-Wash., submitted H.R. 6082, the Congressional Replacement of President Obama's Energy-Restricting and Job-Limiting Offshore Drilling Plan, which will be marked up by the full committee on Wednesday.
