Baucus Energy Tax Proposal Draws Manufacturers' Concern

Law360, New York (December 19, 2013, 2:02 PM ET) -- The nation’s largest association of manufacturers on Wednesday said it is concerned about a new set of energy tax reform proposals by Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus.

The Montana Democrat on Wednesday proposed compressing the nation's current labyrinth of energy tax incentives into two tax credits for clean electricity and clean transportation fuel that can encompass most new technologies.

But the National Association of Manufacturers immediately voiced its opposition to the current framework.
