Law360, New York (February 09, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Two pork industry groups are fighting a new rule that requires large factory farms to report emissions from animal waste to state and local officials. The rule has come under attack from green groups for exempting farms from other hazardous waste-reporting requirements.
On Friday, the National Pork Producers Council and the Wisconsin Pork Association filed suit against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
