Law360, New York (April 09, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Petco Petroleum Corp. has reached an agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to settle allegations that it violated the Clean Water Act by failing to remove oil accumulated on rainwater at a production facility in Oklahoma.
The EPA fined the independent oil and natural gas producer $1,000 after a Feb. 6 inspection at the facility in Creek County, Okla. revealed violations of the federal spill prevention, control and countermeasure regulations outlined under the CWA, the agency announced Thursday.
