Law360, New York (September 22, 2009, 7:46 PM ET) -- Medical device manufacturers Wyeth and Cordis Corp. claim in a federal court suit filed Tuesday that stents made and sold by Boston Scientific Corp. and Abbott Laboratories infringe the companies' new patent relating to drug coatings in stents.
In the latest of several stent-related patent infringement suits, Wyeth and Cordis claim Abbott's Xience V stent infringes Cordis' patent, U.S. Patent No. 7,591,844, issued Tuesday by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, covering methods for maintaining drug coatings in stents.
