Senate Dems Revive Push For Public Option

Law360, New York (February 17, 2010, 12:27 PM ET) -- Nine Democratic U.S. senators have signed a letter calling for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., to bring a public health insurance option up for a vote before the full Senate, hoping to revive the embattled public option as Congress prepares to take another pass at health care reform.

Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., unveiled the draft letter to Reid on Tuesday, in which he was joined by Democratic Sens. Sherrod Brown of Ohio, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York and Jeff Merkley of Oregon.
