5th Circ. Stops Texas From Cutting Planned Parenthood Funds

Law360, New York (May 04, 2012, 7:31 PM ET) -- The Fifth Circuit on Friday stopped Texas from booting Planned Parenthood from a state health care program because it affiliates with abortion providers, reversing its own ruling from earlier in the week.

Finding that Texas had failed to plead its case that funding must be halted immediately, the Fifth Circuit lifted an emergency stay it had granted at midnight on Tuesday.
