Sequenom Faces Suit Over Mishandled Test Data

Law360, New York (May 04, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Sequenom Inc. is facing a proposed securities class action over its announcement that employees have mishandled testing data for a new prenatal test the genetic analysis company has developed to screen for Down syndrome.

The suit, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, claims San Diego-based Sequenom and five executives inflated the company's stock price by making false statements about test data and results for the product.
