Ingersoll-Rand Ends $1.5M Asbestos Coverage Spat

Law360, New York (July 09, 2010, 2:24 PM ET) -- Commercial products manufacturer Ingersoll-Rand Co. has resolved its case alleging CNA Insurance Co. failed to reimburse it for $1.5 million in asbestos-related defense and indemnity costs.

Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday dismissed Ingersoll-Rand’s case without costs and without prejudice after being notified that the parties had reached a settlement.

Attorneys representing Ingersoll-Rand and CNA did not return calls seeking comment.
