Law360, New York (May 16, 2012, 3:59 PM ET) -- The U.S. House of Representatives delayed a vote Wednesday on whether to extend the National Flood Insurance Program as the U.S. Senate continues to put off a decision on whether to continue the initiative on a long-term basis.
The program, which makes federally backed flood insurance available to homeowners, renters and business owners, is slated to expire on May 31 after the House and Senate could not agree last year on reuthorizing the program.
