Chartis Can't Arbitrate Claims That Client Didn't Pay Dues

Law360, New York (August 01, 2012, 5:11 PM ET) -- A New York state judge blocked a Chartis Inc. subsidiary from enforcing an arbitration clause to resolve a claim that Source One Staffing LLC missed payments on a workers' compensation insurance policy, ruling the insurer failed to register the policy with another state's insurance agency, Source One's attorneys said Wednesday.
